There are currently rumours circulating that Larkhill Racecourse is in danger of imminent closure.
These rumours are unfounded and totally untrue.
Indeed we are currently winding up for the 2017 Season and our 70th Anniversary of racing here at Larkhill.
The situation as far as the Museum/Heritage Centre is that they failed to get the HLF Grant they had bid for. This was reputedly around 40% of their total (stated) budget. We are now awaiting briefing on their deliberations since this news broke. We will continue to work with them to ensure the safety of racing at Larkhill.
