The Wessex Area were saddened to learn of the death of Peter James Doggrell on 21st April 2025 at the age of 87. Sincere condolences are sent to his widow Sheena, his children and his grandchildren including Ed and Tom who both have ridden point to pointing with Ed riding a winner at Holnicote on Saturday. The funeral is due to take place at Toomer Farm BA8 0PH on Tuesday 13th May at 2.00pm

Ed Doggrell was recntly presented with a bottle of Tanners Champagne to celebrate his treble at the Taunton Vale meeting at Cothelstone on East Monday. Ed had only recently returned to race riding this season after a break and so his treble on Top of Off, Jewel in the Park and Famous Clermont all for Chris Barber was a worthy occasion!
