The strong grey Plot Lane was probably his most successful horse winning 6 races including 5 at Cotley in the 1980’s. In more recent years the home bred Caundle Steps and Caundle Chase both won three races each for him the latter providing his stepson Will White with his first two career wins in 2003 and the final victory under Jamie Snowden at Cothelstone a year later. Louis Pasteur won 2 races for him in 2016 ridden by Ryan Withey and his final winner was Earth Storm trained by Tracy Williams who was training her horses at Toomer Farm in the Hunt race at Cothelstone in March 2020 partnered by his grandson Tom.
