Changes at the B&SV meeting this year

Please be aware that there are a number of changes to the course at Charlton Horethorne for this season which should be noted when entering horses for the forthcoming meeting. 

There will now be 7 fences on each circuit with the start for the 3 mile races in the back straight between the second and third fences (of four fences). For the 2 mile 4 furlongs race the start will be after the first fence in the home straight where there will now be three fences including the open ditch which remains in the same place as previous seasons. 

Access will be by the same means but the track used will not form part of the racecourse as in the past. It is anticipated that this will make access to the course much easier. 

Other points to bear in mind are that the Mixed Open race has total prize money of £800 and £500 to the winner and that riders in the Conditions race must have ridden no more than 15 winners prior to the start of the current season.
