The course is situated off the B3145 just to the south of the village of Charlton Horethorne, 4 miles south west of Wincanton and 5 miles north east of Sherborne.

Description

A level course over pasture on downs. Long home straight. Home of the Blackmore & Sparkford Vale Point-to-Point which tends to attract large quality fields and many spectators. Races held over 2 miles 4 furlongs to three miles comprise of 2 ¼ circuits. The fences are well built and comprise of portable fences.
