Tribute to Peter Hooper
We were saddened to learn of the recent death of Peter Hooper who has been a familiar face at point to points particularly in Devon and Cornwall and the west of the Wessex area. Always cheerful with a friendly welcome Peter was best known for being a most reliable and conscientious timekeeper at our meetings over many seasons whatever the weather. Working alongside the judging officials at Cothelstone, Holnicote and Kingston St Mary he always provided a thoroughly professional approach to his role and he will be much missed by everyone who knew him across the point to point circuit.
Our sincere condolences are sent to his widow Margaret and the rest of his family on their loss.
His funeral will be taking place on Monday 16th August at 12.20pm at Barnstaple Crematorium
