Message from Larkhill regarding Corvid 19
Dear Racegoers
With the spectre of the Corvid 19 virus hanging over the country, Larkhill Racecourse has decided to take some preventative measures to help contain the virus and keep us ALL safer . It must be stressed that this virus can be a killer and has no known cure for the moment –those of us with responsibility for large numbers of people are taking the threat seriously.
To that end, if you are entering a building – be it the Queen’s Building to go to the toilet, or lunch or for a drink, the Weighing or Declaration Building or the Toilets at the top of the site, we would ask you to be vigilant about hand hygiene.
In the toilets there is Antibacterial hand wash. Please use it both before and after using the toilet.
There will be either wipes, gel or gloves at the entrances to the buildings, if you are going to declare or weigh in and there is no gel, them please put on a pair of these gloves and discard them as you leave.
Last year we faced the Equine Flu virus and at the course we put in stringent bio security measures. While I realise that for most people here today the horse is the more important being, I would now ask that we take the same care about infection for our fellow racegoers and also for the people who work at the course for the benefit of all.
We are the Point-to-Point family – let’s look after each other. With sincere thanks for your co-operation on this matter.
Have a great days racing.
Suzie Vickery, Clerk of the Course
